Privacy Policy

Work Observer’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data we access

With your explicit authorization, Work Observer accesses your immutable Google account identifier, verified Gmail address, display name, Gmail message and thread identifiers, sender and recipient metadata, subjects, timestamps, message text and HTML required for the product, Gmail history cursors, and attachment metadata. Attachment binary files are not downloaded in this release.

How we use Google data

Google user data is used only to provide private work-email monitoring, bounded synchronization, conversation display, and user-requested productivity features. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it to train general-purpose models.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and kept on the server. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored in isolated PostgreSQL records, and protected by authenticated user and resource-ownership checks. We retain only data needed to provide the service and operate secure incremental synchronization.

Sharing

We do not disclose Gmail data except to infrastructure processors necessary to operate Work Observer, when legally required, or at your explicit direction. Any future AI processing will require an updated disclosure and will minimize transmitted content.

Your choices

You can disconnect Gmail, revoke Google access, stop monitoring, or delete your Work Observer account and associated data. See data deletion instructions.
